Transfer Policies Between Programs

In order to organize the process of students transferring between programs in a way that achieves fairness and educational interests, and to ensure coherence in the academic path, the principles of transfer between colleges are determined according to the following rules

Academic Compatibility

The desired faculty or programme must be academically compatible or closely related to the student’s current field of study, in order to ensure equivalence in course content and avoid loss or unnecessary repetition of essential modules.

Capacity Constraints

Transfers are subject to the availability of places in the receiving faculty or department. Applications may only be accepted if space permits.

Specified Timeframe

Transfers are permitted only within a designated period of the academic year, typically prior to the commencement of a new semester. Transfers requested after this period will not be considered.

Approval by Relevant Authorities

Approval must be obtained from both the current faculty and the faculty to which the student wishes to transfer, as well as from the Deanship of Admission and Registration or the relevant university authority.

Valid Reasons for Transfer

The student must present clear and acceptable justifications for the transfer request, such as a change in residence, documented academic challenges, or urgent health or social circumstances.

Academic Implications of Transfer

The student should be aware that transferring may result in the loss of some credit hours or the need to retake certain modules, potentially affecting the overall duration of study.

Application Process and Documentation

The student must submit a formal transfer request, either electronically or in paper form, using the approved application format and accompanied by all required documents, within the specified timeframe.
